Long-Term Parking at Harrisburg International Airport (MDT) is budget-friendly and located on Airport Drive, just 1 mile east of the terminal. The lot is an affordable choice for both long and short-term parking when flying from HIA. This lot is served by around-the-clock, complimentary airport shuttles that depart every 7-10 minutes from numbered shelters in the lot.

Don’t forget to make note of where you parked so that you can quickly find your car upon returning to HIA from your trip.

Free parking while you wait at the airport

The cell phone lot is a great place to wait for free until your family or friends call for pick-up. The lot is just two minutes from the baggage claim area, so you can pick them up curbside as soon as they’re ready.

Vehicles parked in the lot must be attended. Any vehicle left unattended will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense. No commercial vehicles are permitted in the lot at any time.

Directions to the lot:
When coming off of the HIA Airport Connector, stay in the left lane, toward the terminal. Once on Terminal Drive, the lot will be on your right. Follow the blue signs.

XpressPARK is HIA’s convenient frequent parker program that allows travelers easy in and out of the parking facilities with an access card, which is tied to the credit card of your choice. Simply swipe the card to enter, park as long or as short as you need, and swipe the card to exit. Your credit card will be charged, and a receipt will automatically be emailed to you. Additionally, you will earn points for your stay, which can be applied for future parking discounts. Also, when you register for XpressPARK, you will be automatically registered for the Susquehanna Club, the airport run frequent flier club located by Gate A2.

How do I enroll in XpressPARK?
Simply click HERE and set up an account. An access card will be mailed to you within 10 business days. Please note that Commercial Transportation Companies are not permitted to use XpressPARK. Is there a cost to enroll?
There is a $10 one-time enrollment fee for the program. Replacement cards can be requested for $10.

How do I earn points?
You will earn 1 point per $1 spent on parking at HIA. You can earn in either the Garage or Long Term Parking. When you reach 200 points, you can redeem them for a $10 discount in either the Garage or Long Term Parking

How do I redeem points?
You can set your account to either redeem points automatically when 200 points are reached, or you can have it set were you manually go into your account and tell it when you want to redeem points for your next trip. It’s your choice! There is no maximum amount of points you can accrue.

How many points can I redeem at once?
You can redeem up to 1,000 points ($50) at one time.

Where do I park?
You can park in either our Garage or in the Long Term Parking lot. Points are earned at either location. You are welcome to park for as many or as few days in either location. However, if you plan to park for more than 60 days, please let the parking office know 717-948-5901.

What if I forget my XpressPARK Card or accidentally pull a ticket? Can I still earn points?
Yes, you can still earn points. Email parking@saraa.org with a copy of your parking receipt. Please include your full name and a brief description of why you are requesting a credit to your account

Choose the method that’s best for you.

Airport parking customers have three convenient ways to pay for parking at HIA.

Pay the Cashier. You can pay by cash or credit card when you exit the parking garage or long-term/economy lot.

Pay by Machine. You can pay at one of the machines located in the baggage claim or at the end of the Skybridge. The machines accept all major credit cards. The machine will give you 20 minutes to exit the garage or 40 minutes to exit the long-term/economy lot before additional charges are incurred. Please avoid using the machines if your ticket is folded or damaged.

Ticketless Credit Card Express. Insert your credit card at the time of entrance to the parking garage or long-term/economy parking lot instead of taking a ticket. Use the same credit card at the time of exit in the unstaffed lane for a quick and efficient exit.

XpressPARK. Frequent HIA travelers can drive in and out of airport parking without waiting in ticket lines with our convenient XpressPARK card. Parking charges are automatically applied to the credit card of your choice and receipts are emailed to you.

Parking for the Physically Disabled

Parking for the physically disabled is available in all parking lots at our regular rates. Wheelchairs are available by making prior arrangements with your airline.
