Tours and Events

The Susquehanna Area Regional Airport Authority (SARAA) is pleased to offer opportunities for guided tours and event hosting at Harrisburg International Airport (HIA) and other SARAA-managed facilities.Options Available:
  • Guided Tours at Harrisburg International Airport (MDT): Our guided tours focus on airport operations, career paths in aviation, and the airport’s impact on the community. Self-guided tours are also available for those interested in exploring public areas independently (before security) by using the Self-Guided Tour. Please note that guided tours are only available at HIA.
  • Self-guided tours: the public or other group outside of those listed above are always welcome to do a self-guided tour of the public side of the airport
  • Event Requests Across SARAA Locations: For tenants, community organizations, and other approved groups, we offer event hosting options at Harrisburg International Airport (MDT) as well as at SARAA’s additional facilities: Capital City Airport (CXY), Franklin County Regional Airport (FCRA), and Gettysburg Regional Airport (GRA).

Important Information:

  • Approval Required: All requests are subject to review based on availability, guidelines, and staffing resources.
  • Advance Notice: Please submit your request at least 45 days in advance of your preferred date.
  • Seasonal Limitations: Guided tours at HIA may be limited from November through March due to weather.
